Glyoxylic acid 50% solution is used as a raw material for the production of vanillin and ethyl vanillin in the spice industry. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used as an intermediate for the synthesis of antihypertensive drugs such as atenolol, DL hydroxyphenylglycine, broad-spectrum antibiotics (oral), acetophenone, amino acids, etc. It is also used as an intermediate for varnish raw materials, dyes, plastics, and agricultural chemicals. It can also be used to produce allantoin, which is an intermediate for ulcer resistant pharmaceutical products and daily chemical products.
