N-Propanol (N-Propyl Alcohol) is a good solvent that can be used directly or through the synthesis of propyl acetate in coatings, printing inks, daily chemical products, and other fields. Using n-propanol as raw material, we can synthesize n-propylamine, propyl acetate, propyl urea, 2-methyl-2-pentanol, bromopropane, perfluoropropionic acid, propyl paraben, and propyl nipagin. N-propanol is used in the pharmaceutical industry to produce products such as probenecid, sodium valproate, erythromycin, ammonium persulfate, and dipropyl 2,5-pyridinedicarboxylate. The most important derivative of n-propanol is n-propylamine, which is mainly used in the production of pesticides such as ambucil, fungicide, isoproterenol, fluazuron, and grasshoppers.
