2-Butanone

2-Butanone is a colorless liquid with an odor similar to acetone; soluble in water, ethanol, and ether, and miscible in oils; stable in nature; mainly used as a solvent, dewaxing agent, and also in various organic syntheses, as well as a raw material for synthetic fragrances and pharmaceuticals. It is primarily used as a solvent for nitrocellulose, vinyl resin, and coatings, and also as a dewaxing agent in the production of lubricating oils.
