2-Methoxyethyl Acetate is mainly used as a solvent for metal and furniture spray painting, as well as for brush painting. It can also be used as a solvent for protective coatings, dyes, resins, leather, and inks. It is mainly synthesized by esterification of ethylene glycol methyl ether and acetic acid as raw materials.
